A Year of Mindfulness in Dublin

dublin-irelandAs a Mindfulness Teacher, I have felt quite blessed. I have been fortunate enough to teach the 8 week MBLC locally, in my home community where I live in Ireland; while at the same time, travelling afar and teaching on the Mindfulness Association’s 4 weekend Practitioner Certificate courses. It has been an incredibly rich experience meeting people from all of walks of life, while sharing the practices and teachings that have come to be such an integral part of my own well-being and happiness.

So, you can imagine my joy at hearing that I was to be posted to teach on the Mindfulness Association’s Mindfulness Practitioner Certificate course in Dublin that is starting this summer. While the course has been running successfully at the Kagyu Samye Dzong Dublin centre for many years, it will be my first time teaching with the talented and intuitive Jennifer Rylands and Suzanne Mulqueen.

One of the components that sets the Dublin Practitioner course approach apart is that the 4 weekends of teachings (with the option of exiting the Practitioner Certificate course after weekend 1) are embedded into a series of monthly sits, and regular silent practice days dispersed throughout. As with all of the Mindfulness Association’s courses, there is also an opportunity for regular email contact/phone calls with the tutors. These key features enableimages (7) and encourage a sustained and supported personal practice for all of the participants over a full year period and I am so excited to be part of the process.

If you are living in Ireland, or indeed, if you have always wanted to visit and are looking for a reason to go, make sure to check out our course details (Click here). This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about and establish a mindfulness practice, or to deepen your practice if you already have one. (The course is set up to accommodate beginners and more experienced practitioners.) We would love to see you there!
